Santa Barbara Business College - Ventura

In April of 2003, Santa Barbara Business College opened its fourth campus in Ventura, California, where the college campus is located an hour north of Los Angeles. The city was founded in 1782 and was largely overlooked until it became home to one of the 21 religious missions that were being built across the California coast at the time. Ventura's name was shortened from Buenaventura as the town grew into a cultural center for nearby farming and oil interests. Many of the historic buildings in Ventura provide insight into an earlier time. The city embraces the old-world charm that often disappears from beach communities eager to tear down the old for the sake of the new. It's a city filled with history and beauty.
